During his stay at the shopping center, Santa and his crew will give free rides to children in the 65-passenger craft. Candy will be distributed to the passengers, and their conversations with Santa will be broadcast around the parking lot.
I also found this awkward but quaint video from 1977 showing the interior of the mall during the holidays.
Northglenn was demolished in 1998.

RIP Northglenn Mall
Even though I am Australian and lived/live in Austalia during the 80s I still felt a pang of regret when I read “RIP Northglenn Mall” since, even though I live across the ocean, malls (though we called them shopping centres or just Westfields as thats how ubqitous that brand was in the 80s) were a big part of my childhood in the 80s – where we went to hang out, where I went to play arcade games, where I went to buy Dungeon and Dragon magazine every month etc. etc.
It’s amazing how people from different parts of the world can have a shared experience like this and also a shared sense of regret (and nostalgia).
Indeed, RIP Northglenn Mall, even though I never knew ya.
