The second page lists more puzzles in the works based on “family” films: The Deep, Rollercoaster (terrorist plants bomb on rollercoaster), Damnation Alley (not as exciting as it sounds), and The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (cocaine-addled Sherlock Holmes undergoes psychoanalysis with Freud).
The puzzle does look pretty amazing, if you’re into puzzles (I am). It’s based on the movie poster art by Charles Moll, best known for his sci-fi and fantasy paperback covers.
At the same Logan’s Run fan site, I found a couple of pages of a play-by-mail RPG based on the novel and movie. What a great idea. Was there never a comprehensive RPG based in this extended universe?
2 Warps to Neptune 
From the description of the Gun in the RPG, it’s based of the novel, and not necessarily the movie. The movie changed or omitted a number of things, the Gun being one.
Good point. Post updated. How is the book? I’ve been wanting a copy for a long time, but it’s annoyingly out of print and stupidly expensive on eBay.
It’s been a good 25 years since I read it, but I remember it being quite a bit different from the film – more cerebral, more detailed, and with actual plot twists. I think I had the first sequel too, which I recall nothing about.
William F. Nolan wrote two sequels: “Logan’s World” (1977) and “Logan’s Search” (1980). The first is the better book.
