I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: something about the Ringwraiths in that version made them really creepy. Maybe it was the rotoscoped animation, or the twisted way one of them walked when searching for Frodo… either way, they have Jackson’s Nazgul beat all to hell on the creepy-scale!
