We live in an old house (built in the ’30s). I actually met the original owner of the house who’d lived there since 1940 (sadly she passed on 3 years ago). These pics reminded me of our conversation about the house and how she’d tried so hard to “keep up with the times,” integrating “modern” decor when it was in vogue (i.e., interior wood paneling, etc.). In our den we have an original pot belly chimney (I also like to call it a Darth Vader chimney) exactly like the one shown in the last pic.
I would so live in that house. Of course, I’d have to remove that horror dad’s constructing in the basement.
Its like the opening scenes of a slasher movie!
And the mom is so oblivious, just typing away on her laptop!
