A Portrait of Young Geeks Reading Deities & Demigods (Circa 1985)

Deities

The photo is from Rich Howard, who is one of the geeks. You can read about his introduction to D&D here.

Paging the ugly couch museum: we have another specimen for your collection. (I would pay to gain entrance to such a museum, by the way.)

An ugly couch museum should include console TVs and Atari 2600’s. Maybe a few Intellivisions.

A friend caught this photo in a YT video on the history of the Tomb of Horrors, so I popped over here. The other geek in the photo is Steve Magan and we’re both laughing at being “documented”. Really appreciate that you linked the original article.

40 years later, you can find my current design work on DriveThruRPG or link over to http://www.descentintomidnight.com.
