I mistakenly dated two of these designs (Darth and the Falcon) as 1977 in a previous post. I still like Lando the best. More Empire transfers here.

I had the Han Solo one on a yellow t-shirt (bought at K-Mart), and I distinctly remember wearing it for my first day of school in third grade, which was 1980. So good call on the year ID.

The year is on there if you look closely enough. I just didn’t look closely enough for the previous post, or the image didn’t enlarge enough for me to see it.

The Han transfer is so rad because he’s standing on his name!

I had the Darth Vader one and Luke Skywalker. Luke was on a yellow shirt and Vader was on the blue, from above. I loved the sparkles on these shirts. I remember the older they got, they either faded or cracked.

I had an orange t-shirt that used the same transfer process. Mine featured Christopher Reeve as Superman. The shirt was purchased by my mom because I needed an orange shirt to serve as a uniform for my soccer team.

Those plastic transferw were awful. If you sweated at all, the part of the shirt with the transfer stuck to your chest.
