     I would love to know who they are. There are no names at the original source, and I have seen them at a number of cons during the era.

       The person on the right is one of my dearest friends. A sort of intellectual and ethical sibling, if you will. The person on the left is one of my oldest friends; a friendship that spans more than thirty years. These pictures bring a tear to my eye because I haven’t seen them in over twenty years. Upward mobility and all. I’ll touch base with them and if there is no objection. With out reservations on their parts, I’ll email you their names and hopefully some jogged memories!

         I would love to talk to anyone who can tell me more about the early cons and fandom at the time. There are various records of fan conventions, but very few accounts by people who were actually there. Obviously it was a hugely influential time, and what was once considered “cult” and/or “fringe” is now mainstream.
