Christmas Morning, Circa 1975: Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man

Christmas Six Million

That’s Mattel’s Cathy Quick Curl Doll on the right. Mikey Walters has a number of Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman catalogs, boxes, and instruction manuals on display here.

Classic. I had the SMDM and my mom still has the Bionic Woman as part of her doll collection (still in the box, even). I may have said this before, but as a 6-7 yr. old I had no idea that it was a V-8 engine block that came with the doll. The headers on it gave me the impression that it was some kind of hi-tech sled, like they were skids. I still think it’s pretty random to include an engine block with the doll, but then again, what else signifies a heavy object, right?

Yeah, I remember that one. The toy store was sold out and my parents gave me a “Santa Rain Check” that year. XD
