I had no idea they created sewing patterns for Star Wars characters. I typically see a lot of sewing patterns at estate sale and never pay too much attention to them. Looks like I’d better start!
I wanted my mom to sew me up one of those Ewok outfits but the cost of the material was out of the question, so she made me the Jawa costume instead (and it was awesome!)
That little Leia is Jennifer Connelly, future star of Labyrinth, The Rocketeer, and Dark City. Dig through your Dynamite magazine archives for issue #96 where you’ll find an interview with her as a 12-year-old model. The McCall’s pattern photo is right there in her portfolio.
Love your blog…it’s like the weird old obscure-focus visual blogs I used to love. Nice work keeping it up! As a creative seeking inspiration, I really appreciate this shit 😉

There weren’t that many licenses. I’ve seen E.T. and Gizmo. That’s all I can remember.
There’s also a giant shark costume that’s pretty great. Not Jaws, though.
Egads! I had the Jawa one…
Dude – why does Darth Vader have googly eyes?
More menacing.
