I don’t know the exact year, but the Dukes of Hazzard poster puts us between 1979 and 1985. In the first photo (click to enlarge), there’s not too much I can make out. The Bela Lugosi head, obviously, a weird koala bear pillow, some Matchbox cars. There’s a signed black and white photo on the wall, but I can’t identify the figures.
The second photo is a gold mine. Godzilla, Shogun Warriors, one of those safes with the combination lock that most of us had, a Boba Fett doll. That’s Tomy’s Digital Derby in one of the yellow cubes, and a better shot of the black and white photo. Is it the Three Stooges?
And is that the back of Galaxian 2 on the top shelf of the bookcases?
No doubt about the 2nd photo being a gold mine of ’80s goodness. More things I spotted: That Bingo “globe” thing on the second shelf from the bottom (I had that in the ’70s) as well as the mini Rubiks Cube keychain (who didn’t have those), a red Battleship game board/case on the third shelf up. Dood, I had one of those combination safes too. But why does that one have double doors?? Crazy!
I was thinking exactly the same thing about the double doors. I guess there’s a divider in there, so you can put different stuff in each side?
Also, far left bookshelf, three up: that’s Grimace, the purple blob dude from McDonaldland.
LOL! The “purple blob dude” hahaha…they never did say what he was, right?
2nd photo: on top of the leftmost yellow cube the black figure appears to be a shirtless Ideal Knight of Darkness (Darth Vader knock off), his elbow is pointing at a smaller Mattel Battlestar Galactica Ovion figure. Directly below is a Tomy wind-up Rascal Robot in the top second yellow cube.
Aw, yeah! How could I forget that Knight of Darkness…I had one! Good catch with the Ovion fig, I had that dood too. He came with some weird “net” outfit that draped over him and his 6 arms.
Another spot—that’s a Perfection game to the right of the Bingo globe on the shelf.
Good catches, Matthew. There also appears to be a Hulk head on the shelf beneath the Rascal Robot.
First picture, top of left-most shelf, to the right of the Big Bird…an easy ID…’70s Tonka small red dump truck. http://www.odinartcollectables.com/images/tonkaSmallRedDumptruck.jpg
First picture, top cube in middle column—vintage wind-up Woodstock, likely by Aviva. And another Tomy wind-up robot to its left! haha
lol, sorry about the “vintage” blurb, I’d just done a Google search with the term.
Oh, another mistake, that Tomy robot is in the top cube of the right most column. My bad!
