The kid fondling the Death Star, as his brothers look on a little enviously, is Stephen Fry. That’s Kenner’s Stretch Octopus in the pink and orange box, and you can also see the Adventure People Daredevil Sports Van, first released in 1978. Fisher-Price’s Adventure People may be the greatest action figure line of all time. There, I said it.

Fond memories of the Adventure People. Loved the weird “space line” too. Clawtron (?) terrorized my Micronauts.
My Death Star was the Canadian version. It was cool too.
Yeah their Alpha Interceptor things were cool…there were others too, right? I found the FPAP list/guide…the “alien” figure(s) I remember were “Brainoid” and the red dood (#368) from the Alpha Interceptor. Who was Clawtron?

These aliens were a riff on the Micronauts aliens from ’79 and ’80.
Yeah their resemblance to Micronauts was not lost to my young mind. I had X-Ray Man whose transparent body in particular was reminiscent.
