Christmas Morning, 1978: Star Wars and Adventure People

Christmas 1978

The kid fondling the Death Star, as his brothers look on a little enviously, is Stephen Fry. That’s Kenner’s Stretch Octopus in the pink and orange box, and you can also see the Adventure People Daredevil Sports Van, first released in 1978. Fisher-Price’s Adventure People may be the greatest action figure line of all time. There, I said it.

Adventure People? Hell yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with you 1000%.

Fond memories of the Adventure People. Loved the weird “space line” too. Clawtron (?) terrorized my Micronauts.

My Death Star was the Canadian version. It was cool too.

Here is some pics and info on the “Canadian” Death Star. This is the one I had although both versions were available here (Canada was the only country where both were available). I had soooo much fun with this thing.
